Joey learns hot to fetch the Frisbee
Joey was so cute trying to catch the frisbee, He might not be able to catch it, but he sure would try and then bring it back to us. He could not even see where he was going while carrying it like this but did not slow him down.
Joey's first trip in a canoe!
So Diane and I and Joey and David decided to Float the Current River. This was Joey's first trip in canoe and he did great. He is not a big fan of the water but he is a big fan of going where ever we go. So we did dip him in a few times. The one picture of me and him is in front of Round Spring near Eminence Mo.

Another Trip to Elephant Rocks
Diane and I and Joey took Marie and her fiance Matt to Elephant Rocks State Park in southern Mo. Matt had never been there before so we had to go by, Last time Joey had been there he was just a few months old. We had a great time before we had to take them back to the airport.

Bike Riding along the Al Foster Trail
Beautiful afternoon, Joey has been somewhat cooped up and I needed to get out also. So I loaded up my bike and Joey's carrier and decided to head to Grover Mo, where I would jump on the Al Foster trail and head over to Castlewood State Park. It had been a few years since doing this ride so I thought why not. My friend Sue had told me her and her husband had rode the trail recently and that there was a paved section now with some pretty awesome bridges. Se we are riding along a gravel type trail along side a mini train tracks when there is a paved trail that goes off to the left. We jump on that trail and it is pretty much a 2.5 mile sloped incline before we make it to the top. The climb is doable for most I would think, but out of shape riders or riders with bad bikes may have trouble. The fun part comes on the way back down. Pretty much over 2 miles of coasting downhill, braking at some turns, Joey sits up in his carrier and lets the wind blow across his face, looking back at me every so often as if to say faster!!!!! All in all we did about 9 miles today.

Joey goes on a Memorial Day Canoe Trip
Joey gets to go on his first canoe trip today. We went on the Current river, which is part of the Ozark National Scenic Waterways. We went from Akers Ferry to Round Springs. That is almost a 20 mile float and we did it in just under 5 hours. He did great while sitting on the chair with Diane keeping a very close lookout on everything that was going by. He loved wearing his life jacket, just to make sure he doesn't drown.

An Earlier Trip To Elephant Rocks
Before I started this blog, Joey and I were busy going to different locations in Missouri. Some of the places are some of the prettiest places in Missouri. I will post some of our trips on here even though this trip to Elephant Rocks was last October. It was a cool day and Joey was just 6 months old and approximately 6-7 pounds at the time. We did the complete walking trail and even had fun jumping from rock to rock. I did my best "Lion King" impersonation on top of a large rock. If you have never been to Elephant Rocks here is a website that tells you about the Park. http://mostateparks.com/park/elephant-rocks-state-park
